Voice Change Exercise on Present Indefinite Tense

In this post, we are going to learn and practice voice change of the sentence based on Present Indefinite tense.
Now the question is - What is Voice?

 Voice is a form of the verb which shows whether the subject acts or is acted upon. 

In English grammar, there are two types of voice -

1. Active Voice. - When the subject of a sentence is the doer, it is called Active Voice.
2. Passive Voice. - When the subject of the sentence is acted upon, it is called passive voice.

 And, in the beginning post of this voice change practice series, we are going to learn and practice Voice Change of the verbs based on present indefinite tense or simple present tense. Look at the following examples -
1st example -
Active: I eat chocolate.
Passive: Chocolate is eaten by me.
2nd example -
Active: The man cuts the bread.
Passive: The bread is cut by the man.

    From the above examples, you probably have understood how to change an active voice to passive.

But, if you haven't understood it let's discuss it briefly. -
When we have to change the voice of a sentence of present indefinite tense, we have to -
1. Use the subject as the object and the object as the subject.
2. Use am/is/are according to the subject.
3. Use the past participle form of the verb.
4. Use by/to as needed.

Now let's practice some basic voice change -
1. He sees a bird.
Answer: A bird is seen by him.
2. I play cricket.
Answer: Cricket is played by me.
3. Raj eats rice
Answer: Rice is eaten by Raj.
4. They love me.
Answer: I am loved by them.
5. I hate fish.
Answer: Fish is hated by me.
6. You eat a piece of bread.
Answer: A piece of bread is eaten by you.
7. He plays the song everyday.
Answer: The song is played by him everyday.
8. We make a big cake.
Answer: A big cake is made by us.
9. She likes soft toys.
Answer: Soft toys are liked by her.
10. My father reads the newspaper daily.
Answer: The newspaper is read by my father daily.
